In Ethiopia, we take a unique approach to improve public health. By combining water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities with community education and strengthening health systems, we tackle trachoma and other neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Working closely with local governments, our efforts make a real difference.
We blend WASH programs with behavior change communication and healthcare improvements to combat NTDs. These initiatives drive us towards creating Open Defecation Free communities. In 2023 alone, we supported 2,700 households in building and using basic sanitation facilities. We also enhance the capabilities of hospitals to provide patient-centered care and work with political leaders to address NTDs, aiming to reduce vision impairment rates.
Your support is vital to our mission. Thank you for helping us make a lasting impact on public health in Ethiopia.
