On Giving Tuesday 2025, Amal Alumma Organization has launched the Palestinian Patient Fund at Yafa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, Gaza. The fund provides free medicines and treatment for vulnerable patients-especially children, women, and the elderly-who cannot afford their prescriptions due to poverty and the ongoing blockade. #GivingTuesday #GivingTuesday2025 #GiveHope #winter
The health system in Gaza is on the verge of collapse. Pharmacies are empty, medicine prices are extremely high, and families who lost their income cannot buy even basic treatments. Children with fevers, women in need of care, and elderly with chronic illnesses are left without medication-often facing life-threatening risks.
The Palestinian Patient Fund directly covers the cost of medicines at Yafa Hospital. Patients receive their prescriptions free of charge, ensuring no one is turned away because of poverty. This project provides urgent relief for children, women, and elderly patients, reduces family burdens, and helps the hospital continue offering essential medical services despite shortages.
This project does more than offer urgent help-it builds hope and resilience. Free access to medicine prevents avoidable deaths, improves health, and restores dignity for Gaza's most vulnerable. In the long term, it strengthens trust in healthcare, relieves families of impossible choices, and inspires sustainable support for medical services in crisis conditions.
