Report #19

By Leigh E Carter | Friend of APF

Greetings Friends of the APF Fondwa Clinic

We send warm Season's Greetings from Fondwa, and extend hope for you, and the world, in the New Year. The security situation in Haiti continues to remain unresolved, yet important work continues throughout the country. Mostly, these efforts are the result of communities like Fondwa, coming together to make sure we take are of ourselves. An example of this is the APF Fondwa Clinic.

Through our efforts, and your generous support, we continue to operate daily.

From July to September 2025, we received 266 visits in total:

  • 108 patients for consultations at the Fondwa clinic;
  • 158 visits for vaccinations, including 5 children who are now fully vaccinated and 4 Pregnant women.

The breakdown by month looked like this:

  • July: A total of 114 visits - 43 patients for medical consultations - 71 patients for vaccinations
  • August: A total of 80 visits - 30 patients for medical consultations - 50 children vaccinated
  • September: A total of 72 visits - 35 patients for medical consultations - 37 patients vaccinated

And, the most frequent conditions included emergencies, gastritis and gastroenteritis, genital and urinary infections, diabetes, pruritic dermatoses, arterial hypertension, infant colic, acute respiratory infections, malnutrition, anemia, psychosis, and dehydration.

This critical access to healthcare would not be possible without your continued partnership. We are so grateful.

Dr. Louinise Randiche and Nurse Kerline Thermozier
