Your support enable us to give awareness to farmers, children and general public to adopt healthy organic methods to cultivate and raise MORINGA ( THE MIRACLE TREE) .With our regular programs, they are now know well about organic cultivation farming and earning.

With your support, we have brought awareness to cultivate MORINGA( THE MIRACLE TREE) and how to market it in different ways. We support small farmers to plant Moringa tree for both health and wealth.

We are glad to share that farmers are created awareness to grow moringa trees for powder, oil and value added products . Both Moringa leave powder and oil are consumed for nutrition and sold for income thus supporting our farmers health and wealth CHHASE propagates Moringa tree in mega tree nursery with other tree species for biodiversity and when it rains we issue the tree seedlings to the farmers to plant in their individual farms. Our staff train and follow them up to make sure the trees are planted and managed well. Its worthy noting that moringa leaves and oil are super food due to its rich nutrients. The oil is also becoming popular even in our local markets due to its great skin care properties. A part from the health and economic benefits, moringa also serves a big role on the environmental benefits like soil building from the falling leaves and also creation of microclimate especially in the drylands.

Below are details of the future activities.

TRAINING AND FOLLOW UPS

Initially Our staff are mainly in training farmers on moringa tree management and hole preparations for planting more moringa trees. We like to train, 1200 farmers, 1500 general public and 3 school children and followup by our staff on moringa tree planting and management.They were also trained on moringa leaves harvesting, sorting, cleaning and under shade drying for better product.     

TREE NURSERY

Our staff in charge will start tree nursery, and will be involved in watering, weeding, manuring, pest control, propagation and potting. Over 25000 moringa seedlings will be raised in the nursery during the next six months period.

We will train :-  

•  Drying of moringa leaves and seeds when its cold is a challenge experienced during this period
•  Young and tender moringa leaves were minimally attacked by o caterpillars
•  There is slow market for moringa oil but slowly is growing

PLANS FOR THE NEXT QUARTER

•  Propagate more moringa tree seedlings.
•  Continue training farmers on moringa management
•  Sourcing and processing moringa powder and oil

Your support brings light to lives of the farmers. Each dollar you donate will help them to raise more moringa trees and help them to start value added products to increase their inome. For $ 100 you can help a farmer to plant 100 moringa plants.

We are creating maximum of awareness to farmers, general public about planting of moringa trees and organic products. With your support, we are able to reach more people. Yet we may need more time to spread word about the benefits of planting of moringa trees and organic food.
