Dear Esteemed Donors,

Warm greetings from the Humanitarian Relief and Development Council (HRDC)!

We are delighted to share the second progress report for our project, “Educational Support for Orphaned Girls in Somalia.” Your unwavering generosity continues to transform the lives of young orphaned girls, offering them not only education but also hope, dignity, and a brighter future.

Project Update (June – September 2025)

Over the past few months, your continued support has helped us sustain the education and well-being of the 20 orphaned girls enrolled in our program. Key achievements include:

  • Full school attendance and retention for all 20 girls.
  • Distribution of new school materials, including uniforms, exercise books, and stationery for the current term.
  • Mentorship sessions on confidence-building, hygiene, and goal setting conducted by female community volunteers.
  • Improved academic performance, with several girls ranking among the top in their respective classes.

The joy and motivation among these girls are truly inspiring — they now believe their dreams are valid and achievable.

Looking Ahead

As we approach the next academic term, HRDC is committed to:

  • Continuing school support and mentorship for the current beneficiaries.
  • Expanding the program to reach more orphaned girls in need.
  • Strengthening partnerships for digital learning opportunities.

Gratitude to Our Donors

We extend our deepest thanks to all our GlobalGiving donors for your kindness, compassion, and trust in HRDC’s mission. Your continued contributions make education a reality for girls who once faced hopelessness.

Together, we are shaping a generation of educated, empowered young women for Somalia’s future.

With heartfelt appreciation,
HRDC Team
