Last December we traveld to NE Uganda to distribute 50 goats to mostly orphans in a small village in Uganda. It was an amazing day. Even villagers that were not getting a goat came to clebrate. There were losts of smiles and singing. some of the orhans that received a goat were not much larger than the goat! The rules are that they cannot eat the goat. They are to raise it and it will have babies and this way they can get a herd started. Then they can sell the goats or trade them. They can trade 7 goats for a milk cow or a bull. This indeed is one of the best projects we do in Uganda. It changes lives.
