Dear Supporters,
Work has started on Prevent Period Poverty's sanitation block (bathroom) at St. Joseph's Musokoto Secondary School. The foundation is being poured and soon the block walls will be built as in the photo from Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School. Along with the bathroom, students will be provided with menstrual health classes and products.
Many girls miss school when they have their periods. This often leads to poor grades, not graduating, early marriages and pregnancies. This is often referred to as "Period Poverty". Grow Against Poverty's program is working towards eliminating Period Poverty in Busia County, Kenya.
Your continued support is greatly appreciated so that this program can be started in more schools.
Regards,
John Roccanova
