Together, We're fighting Period Poverty:

By Maryem Laghdaf | Communications Assistant

Hi Friends,

We are sending heartfelt gratitude your way for your continued support and belief in our mission.

Today, we’re excited to share highlights from a meaningful initiative that brought us one step closer to ending period poverty. In celebration of the International Day of the Girl, from October 9 to November 12, 2025, our team carried out distributions for marginalized girls while spreading essential information about menstrual health and hygiene. During this period, 150 menstrual kits were distributed, helping girls manage their periods safely and with dignity.

Little by little, we are helping ensure that no girl is held back by lack of access or information. Through these efforts, girls receive the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity, while also gaining knowledge that empowers them to better understand their bodies and their rights. Each conversation helped challenge stigma, break long-standing taboos, and foster a culture where menstrual health is discussed openly and without shame.

What makes this work truly powerful is the ripple effect it creates. Every girl who feels supported becomes more confident, more informed, and better equipped to continue the conversation within her community. These small but meaningful steps are building momentum toward a future where period poverty is no longer a barrier to education, health, or opportunity.

We are incredibly proud of the progress made and deeply hopeful about what comes ahead. None of this would be possible without your generosity and commitment to our cause. Thank you for standing with us as we continue to uplift girls and create lasting change.

With gratitude,

The Project Soar Team
