Thanks to your ongoing support, the project promoting recycling and waste management continues to make steady progress. So far, we have raised over £4,000 GBP, which is helping us reach communities where improper waste disposal has long been a problem.
As shared in our March update, many communities still struggle with burning or burying trash due to a lack of infrastructure and education. This releases harmful gases, pollutes soil and water, and threatens both the environment and local health.
With the funds raised, we’ve been able to support transportation of trash from remote areas to proper disposal sites, establish recycling stations, and deliver educational workshops. These efforts aim to reduce pollution, empower locals with knowledge, and foster a culture of sustainability that can spread to other communities.
Looking ahead, we are still working toward our fundraising goal of £10,965 GBP. Achieving this will allow us to expand our outreach, conduct more workshops, develop educational materials in local languages, and provide tools to make recycling easier and more effective.
If you’re considering another contribution or sharing the project with others, GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day on July 16–17 offers a great opportunity. Donations of $100 or more during this 24-hour event are matched on a tiered basis, so your support can have even greater impact.
Thank you for helping us create cleaner, healthier communities and for being part of this important journey.
