Plastic isn't food

By Leanne | Project Leader

Dear Friends and Family of our Ocean,

Divers, snorklers to paddle boarders around the world, one of the best thing of being in the ocean is when you have an encounter with a beautiful turtle.

Now these turtles have not decreased their production rate but as humans we have ruined their home and forcing them to eat plastic which in turn is killing them. Yes our actions are killing turtles so it is time for us to stop hiding and stand up to what we have done.

The fact that we have to fund such a program is wrong, but we are here and so let's join together and do this! When the turtles are hatched and head to the ocean they don't know from day zero how to swim or dive and so for the first few days they ride the tide, unfortunetly and Thailand being one of the worst places the amount of ocean in the wave break is alarming and these little babies unaware eat the plastic.

This plastic makes them unwell and they end up washed up on the beach again alone, it is the task of our team that without your donations would not be here, to go out rescue these little turtles take them to our centre while we help them poop out the pastic and get well enough, they learn how to dive and survive and once ready we take them back out to the ocean and release them.

Each year the number of rescues and release increase and so does our costs, it is simple this project is funded purely by donations so no donations no turtle will be saved. We thank you for being apart of our project and this year we have already rescued over 100 turtles
