From Poverty to Prosperity: Enelesi's Journey

By Francis Mbewe | Project Leader

Enelesi's story is one of resilience and determination. After losing her husband, she was left to care for her four children on her own, struggling to make ends meet. But she refused to give up. With the help of a microloan, Enelesi was able to start a small business selling handmade crafts and clothing.

The loan, just $150, was enough to get her business off the ground. She used it to buy materials, ordered assorted products, and marketed to her community . Before long, orders started coming in, and Enelesi was able to earn a steady income.

The impact was immediate. Enelesi was able to provide for her children, ensuring they had food on the table, a roof over their heads, and most importantly, the opportunity to go to school. She says, "I was able to take my children to school, help them with their homework, and be there for them when they needed me. It was a huge weight off my shoulders."

With her business thriving, Enelesi was able to invest in her children's education, giving them a brighter future. Her eldest child is now in university, and her younger ones are excelling in school. Enelesi's story is a testament to the power of microloans and the impact they can have on families and communities

.
As Enelesi puts it, "The microloan was more than just a loan – it was a lifeline. It gave me the chance to build a better life for my children, and for that, I'll be forever grateful."

Thanks to everyone who has donated to our cause and contributed to Enelesi's story.
