Cooking meals

Each month, we proudly support seven crèches in our rural community by providing pap (maize meal) enriched with a Moringa supplement — a vital source of daily nutrition for more than 130 children. For many of these children, this meal is the only food they receive in a day.

The children aged 6 months to 13 years come daily to share a warm, nutritious meal, ensuring that hunger does not stand in the way of their learning and growth.

The dedicated teachers monitor each child’s weight and growth regularly to track their health and development. The results are inspiring — children are stronger, more energetic, and able to focus better in school.

Moringa, often called the “Miracle Tree,” has transformed our feeding program. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, which strengthen the immune system and support healthy vision. It provides essential minerals such as calcium, potassium, and iron that help prevent anemia and build strong bones. Moringa also contains protein and amino acids that support brain development and growth, while its natural antioxidant properties improve energy and overall vitality. For children who face daily nutritional challenges, this simple addition to their meal makes an extraordinary difference.

Despite these successes, our work faces growing challenges. We urgently need funding to purchase firewood to cook the meals, electricity to keep food fresh in our fridge, and fuel to buy and deliver groceries. We also need to provide a small income for the local granny who lovingly prepares the meals each day. These are small but vital costs that keep this holistic program alive and sustainable.

Every plate of food served represents not just nourishment, but hope — a chance for a child to learn, grow, and dream. The number of children coming to us for food increases daily, and we cannot meet this need alone.

Please share our story with your friends, family, and networks so that together we can continue to make a lasting difference. Your support ensures that every child who comes to Nourish Eco Village receives not only a meal but also the care, love, and dignity they deserve

One meal. One child. One future — nourished by your kindness.
