Colleges in Zambia differ widely depending on what field(s) the college offers. There are those which offer engineering, journalism, Medical, teaching, law, dentistry, information technology, agriculture, business and many other courses. And duration of the course also differs.
Admission requirements also vary from one college to another, but the usual requirement is the secondary school certificate or simply the school certificate.
Generally, the cost of college education largely depends on whether the institution is public or private. The majority of the schools in Zmabia are private with less public schools hence making it difficult for the orphaned and vulnerable children with good results to get admission into college becuase of the high tuition fees.
With this tertairy program that we have started we will enable those students that have done well to attend higher education and do the courses of their chose and give them a hope for the future.
This program has already yielded a result as we have sent one child to Ghana for YYAS program; we have also raised $2,000 on ground to send at least 2-3 students by the begining of the year.
