We wanted to take this opportunity to share a letter that was written by one of the high school students that was preparing for his trip to Ghana for the Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) program earlier this year:
“Dear African Impact Team,
Hope you are fine. As for me, I’m doing great.
I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to you. Thank you very much for all that you have done for me. I want to assure you that you have given me the zeal to work extra hard.
My mother once told me that, “Work very hard in school and put your mind on school then all your wishes will come true.”
At this moment, I thank all the people that made it possible for me to go to Ghana. May God bless you all.
I am very excited and eager to board an airplane. I am also looking forward to experience the intellectual activities at YYAS.
I want to assure you that you won’t regret choosing me because working hard is my choice. Blessings once again and thank you.”
