Dear Supporter
On a hot summer morning in Maram Camp, northern Syria—where hundreds of displaced families live in tents that offer no protection from the burning sun or the harshness of life—our Amal Alumma team visited the tent of little Wafa, a six-year-old girl who lives with her mother, grandfather, and grandmother after losing their home to the war.
Wafa, used to waiting in silence, stood at the entrance of her tent under the morning sun. When she saw our team approaching with fresh bread, her innocent face lit up with joy. She ran toward us as if greeting life itself.
Our team personally handed the bread to Wafa’s family in a deeply emotional moment. Her mother, with a voice filled with both pain and gratitude, said:
"We had nothing for this morning... this bread came as a mercy. You didn’t just bring food—you brought safety to my daughter."
In a place stripped of the basics of life, a simple loaf of bread becomes a profound blessing, a message of love from compassionate hearts to those who have lost everything.
At Amal Alumma, we believe that true humanitarian work begins with being present—reaching people directly, looking into their eyes, and reminding them they are not forgotten.
Thank you from the heart to everyone who made this possible.
Because of your generosity, Wafa’s day started differently—there was warmth, there was hope, even under the blazing summer sun.
