Warm Bread, Warmer Hearts

By HASAN SADIK | project leader

Dear Donors,

Warm greetings from Kafr Camp, where life continues to struggle under the weight of displacement and hardship.

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to deliver fresh bread this week to the family of Ghaliya, a 6-year-old girl living with her parents and older brother Hamed in a modest tent within the camp. The family endures extremely difficult living conditions, lacking even the most basic necessities like food and warmth.

About the Family:

  • The father is unable to work due to injury.
  • The mother is doing her best to care for the children under very limited means.
  • Hamed, 9 years old, has left school to help his mother.
  • And Ghaliya... still dreams of a toy and a piece of warm bread.

What You Gave Them:

Throughout the past few days, the family received daily portions of fresh bread, as part of our bread distribution initiative targeting the most vulnerable families in the camp. To them, this bread wasn’t just food — it was relief, a sense of security, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.

The Impact:

  • Nutritious daily meals that eased the mother's daily worry.
  • A small spark of joy in Ghaliya’s eyes, who quietly said:

“Now we have bread every day… not just when we go to sleep hungry.”

Sometimes, these few words say everything.

Thank You:

Because of your contributions, this family — and many others like them — feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one meal at a time.
Together, we continue. Together, we care. Together, we feed.
