In the heart of one of the displacement camps in Deir al-Balah, young Ghadeer lives with her mother under harsh conditions imposed by the ongoing blockade and the severe shortage of basic food items. In this difficult reality, bread — the primary staple for most families in Gaza — has become a daily necessity that many struggle to secure, especially households without a steady income or any form of support.

During our recent distribution round, our team reached Ghadeer’s tent and witnessed firsthand the hardships her mother faces in providing even the simplest meals. Receiving the bread brought them relief and a sense of stability, even if just for a short while. This simple act of support carries a profound impact, offering Ghadeer and her mother a moment of comfort within an environment filled with uncertainty.
