Amid the severe humanitarian conditions facing displaced families in the Gaza Strip—especially those who lost their homes and now live in makeshift camps—our organization implemented a new initiative to meet one of the most urgent daily needs: providing fresh, warm bread to displaced families.

1. Background

Abu Jameeza Camp in Deir al-Balah hosts hundreds of families living in fragile tents with limited access to food, water, and basic services. With the ongoing shortages, obtaining bread has become a daily struggle. For many families, receiving fresh bread is a lifeline—especially for children.

2. Distribution Details

Thanks to your generous support, our field team was able to:

• Distribute fresh, warm bread to 180 displaced families in the camp.
• Ensure each family received enough bread to cover a full meal for the day.
• Partner with a local bakery in Deir al-Balah to guarantee the bread reached families fresh and warm.
• Prioritize households with children, elderly members, and individuals with medical needs.
