Theatre Arts for Holistic Development (TAHD) in Practice
During the quarter, RASA’s centres continued to exemplify the power of Theatre Arts for Holistic Development through creative, inclusive, and structured art-based learning. Across Aadharan, Unnati, Santushti, Samvriddhi, and Sreyas units, students participated in dance, drama, music, storytelling, yoga, art and craft, and livelihood training, fostering growth in coordination, expression, confidence, and life skills.
Highlights of the Quarter
The livelihood division was buzzing with activity, fulfilling festive orders and producing gift boxes, diyas, jute bags, and other handmade items, providing students hands-on vocational experience and financial empowerment.
Students of RASA also participated in the drama “Atma Vijayam,” portraying how Srinivasa Nayakar overcame his greed to become the saint-composer Purandara Dasa, blending moral storytelling with expressive performance.
Cultural celebrations such as Independence Day, Janmashtami, and Navaratri provided platforms for performance, teamwork, and cultural learning.
The integration of academics with arts—through applied mathematics, language enrichment, environmental awareness, and sensory craft—helped reinforce learning in an enjoyable, experiential manner.
Pre-livelihood and livelihood units (Sreyas – Mayura and Hamsa, and Satya School Outreach Students) continued to strengthen vocational independence and precision through jewelry-making, craftwork, and design-based learning.
Santushti and Unnati centres deepened sensory and expressive learning through movement, storytelling, and role-play, showing steady improvement in attention, participation, and emotional connection.
Cumulative Impact
Students demonstrated measurable growth in coordination, focus, self-expression, and social participation.
The blend of art, culture, and vocational readiness ensured holistic progress—bridging creativity, independence, and confidence.
Looking Ahead
RASA will continue to expand its livelihood product line and strengthen performance-based learning, ensuring that each learner experiences joy, dignity, and purpose through the arts.
