Through the project “Provide Medical Aid for Civilians in Palestine Now,” Noor Society for People with Disabilities continues to respond to urgent medical and humanitarian needs for persons with disabilities living in Bethlehem and surrounding areas. This project plays a vital role in supporting individuals who lack access to essential medical equipment and supplies due to the ongoing economic crisis and limited healthcare resources.
During the reporting period, seven (7) persons with disabilities directly benefited from this project through the provision of assistive medical devices tailored to their individual needs. The beneficiaries included children and youth with different types of disabilities who required mobility and orthopedic support to improve their daily functioning and quality of life.
The medical aid provided included:
Wheelchairs for individuals with limited or no mobility
Walkers in different customized sizes designed specifically for children
Orthopedic leg and foot braces (custom-made splints) used for medical stabilization, correction, and support following medical recommendations
These assistive devices have enabled beneficiaries to move more safely, participate in daily activities, and reduce physical pain and discomfort. For several children, receiving a properly fitted mobility aid marked a significant step toward independence and inclusion.
In addition to assistive devices, the project supported a larger number of children and adults with disabilities through the distribution of medical diapers, which are a critical yet often unaffordable necessity for many families. Diapers were distributed to:
Children with disabilities
Youth and young adults with disabilities who require daily personal care assistance
The age range of beneficiaries supported through this component ranged from early childhood (approximately 3 years old) to young adults up to 25 years old, reflecting the wide spectrum of needs addressed by the project.
This support has helped families maintain dignity, improve hygiene and health conditions, and reduce the financial burden associated with long-term disability care—especially during a period of severe economic hardship following the war and rising living costs.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all donors and supporters of this project. Your generosity has made it possible to provide life-changing medical aid to persons with disabilities who need it most. Your donation truly makes a difference, transforming hardship into relief and restoring hope to individuals and families facing daily challenges.
With your continued support, Noor Society will remain committed to expanding medical assistance and reaching more civilians with disabilities across Palestine who urgently require care and protection.
