Here’s the story of one incredible journey:

In Udaipur, (Rajasthan) an elderly woman faced heartbreak and hardship when her own son pushed her out of the small home she had built with love and years of hard work. With nowhere to go, she spent a month living on the streets—scared, hungry, and utterly alone.

That’s when some kind people called Seva Mandir’s Women’s Shelter. The shelter team stepped in, offering her a safe place to stay, warm meals to eat, and someone who truly listened to her story. Slowly, she opened up about her struggles—the pain of losing her husband, raising her son on her own, and being abandoned by the very family she had sacrificed so much for.

The shelter team reached out to her son and spoke to him gently but firmly. They reminded him not just of the laws he had broken, but of the love and respect every mother deserves. Over time, he came to understand his mistake. He welcomed his mother back into her home and built a separate space for himself and his wife.

Today, she is back home, living in peace and safety.

Your generous support of $100 covers skills training (nursing, tailoring, etc.) for one victim of abuse—helping her rebuild her life with dignity.
