This project provides psychological support sessions for children and women in Aida and Al-Azza refugee camps in Bethlehem. Through trauma-informed care, counseling, and home visits, we aim to reduce stress, war-related trauma, and social pressure affecting vulnerable families.
Children and women in Aida and Al-Azza camps face severe psychological distress due to violence, occupation, war-related trauma, economic hardship, and overcrowded living conditions. Many suffer from anxiety, fear, sleep disturbances, and trauma, yet lack access to continuous psychological services.
The project will provide individual and group counseling sessions, trauma-focused therapy, family support sessions, and home visits for the most vulnerable families. By offering accessible, free, and continuous psychological care, we help children and women reduce trauma symptoms and improve emotional stability.
This project will strengthen the mental resilience of families, reduce long-term trauma effects, and improve emotional well-being within the camps. Children will regain confidence and stability, while women will acquire coping skills that support healthier families and a stronger, more resilient community.
