Our cats are definitely pros at handling the Dog Days of Summer. You cannot find any "chiller" ranch residents than that cattery residents on these hot summer days.
The three "houses" that make up the cattery are all equipped with window fans. The eastern portion of the cattery benefits from the shade of a very large oak tree. In spite of these cooling options though, even on the hottest of days, several of the cats will opt for the heat of the "glass house" where they recline for hours watching life at the ranch.
Of course, if our clowder of cats were to offer their best advice for dealing with the heat, it would be plenty of catnaps. They find these naps are best taken completely stretched out or cuddled up with a friend.
Nicki has appointed himself the "water monitor" in the cattery. He carefully supervises the cleaning and filling of the numerous water bowls. He also insists on tasting the water to ensure it meets his standards.
Thanks to your generous support, the cats are enjoying the warm summer weather. They recently helped inventory a shipment of litter that your gifts allowed us to purchase. This stack of litter will last us for three weeks.
Thank you for providing all that our cats need to make the most of these Dog Days of Summer!
