2026 is here and it was time once again to give Taylor a Covenia antibiotic shot. Taylor has chronic upper respiratory tract disease. These shots help Taylor manage his symptoms like nasal discharge and sniffles.
We also bring Taylor in for x-rays regularly to ensure that his sinuses and lungs are normal. But despite checkups and administering antibiotics, we cannot completely resolve his periodic flareups and loud breathing. So, this cute cat will always have a little bit of sniffles.
We want to highlight Taylor, this happy little guy.
If you’ve come to visit our cat house, you have not only seen the friendly face of Taylor, but you have certainly heard him. His audible breathing is hard to miss and his happy demeaner is always present. Taylor, Nicky, and Target are the welcoming committee. Taylor will greet you right away with a sniffle and a snuggle.
In 2025, Dr. Rivett took over as our ECLAP veterinarian. This month, she visited the cat house for the first time and the kitties were oh so excited to see a new face. She was able to give Taylor his antibiotic shot, easy pea-sy. Thank you Dr. Rivett and the ECLAP team!
Taylor loves to meet new faces and his loves his cattery family.
A typical day with Taylor would involve him keeping the volunteers company while they scoop litter boxes, snuggling with his bestie, Garfield and grooming his fellow cat housemates. Luckily, they don’t seem to mind that his runny nose makes the grooming a little counter-productive.
It is thanks to you that we are able to care for wonderful cats like Taylor. With his partial blindness, his upper respiratory tract disease, and being a black cat, he did not have high chances of being adopted before coming to our sanctuary. We are honored to have given him and his kitty friends a forever home. Thank you for supporting our cat house.
