Through the generous support of GlobalGiving and our faithful donors, the Raise-A-Child Campaign continues to transform the lives of 50 vulnerable children aged 3–6 in Alexandra Township, one of South Africa’s recognised GBV hotspots. Your sponsorship provides three nutritious meals a day, consistent psychosocial support, life-skills training, and access to quality preschool education in a safe and nurturing environment. As a result, children are healthier, emotionally supported, and developing strong early learning foundations.
Our life-skills programme teaches children to identify emotions, self-regulate, communicate safely, and build respectful relationships. These skills are critical in breaking cycles of violence and serve as an early prevention intervention against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
One inspiring success story is Jayden, who joined our programme last year with a severe speech delay. With dedicated speech therapy support and daily classroom stimulation, Jayden has made remarkable progress. He is now confidently speaking, reading, and is ready to enter Grade 1 in 2026. His journey demonstrates the life-changing power of early intervention.
We have recorded significant improvements in attendance, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and school readiness. We thank you for your continued partnership in giving Alexandra’s children safety, dignity, and a strong start in life.
