Yemen: Your Impact in Action

By Ahmed Al-Qadhi | Project Leader

Dear GlobalGiving Donors and Supporters,

On behalf of the Support Yemeni Society Organization, I would like to express our profound gratitude for your continued partnership. Your contributions are more than just donations; they are the driving force behind a movement to restore dignity and safety to Yemen’s most vulnerable children.

Project Milestone: Rehabilitating 150 Street Children

Through your support, we have been able to scale our efforts to reach children who previously knew only the hardships of life on the street. This past season—marked by the observance of Ramadan and the start of the summer break—provided a critical window for us to implement life-changing interventions.

Our team successfully executed several key initiatives:

  • Nutritional Security: Distributed comprehensive food baskets to high-risk families to ensure children remain supported at home.
  • Mental Health & Wellness: Conducted specialized psychosocial support sessions to help children process trauma and build resilience.
  • Recreational Integration: Organized sports and team-building games to provide a safe space for play, social development, and physical health.

Success Story: From the Streets to the Classroom

The true impact of your generosity is best reflected in the story of Zaid, a 12-year-old boy who had spent three years working as a street vendor to support his younger siblings.

Before joining our program, Zaid had lost all hope of returning to school. Through the SYS rehabilitation project, we provided his family with essential food aid and enrolled Zaid in our accelerated learning center. Today, Zaid is not only excelling in his studies but has also taken a leadership role in our sports activities. He told our staff, "I used to look at the ground for scraps, but now I look at the blackboard for a future." Your support turned his struggle for survival into a journey of potential.

Dear Generous Donors,

I take this opportunity to warmly invite you to consider initiatingmonthly donation towards our project. Even a modest contribution of a few dollars per month can create a lasting impact. By doing so, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and sustainability of our efforts. One last thing—sharing our project with your friends and family helps us spread the word about our work and continue to grow our community of supporters like you. If you’re willing to share the story of our work with your network, we’d be incredibly grateful.

Should you have any queries or require further information, please feel free to contact Mr. Ahmed Al-Qadhi at alhosam82@gmail.com.

With deepest appreciation,
Ahmed Al-Qadhi
