Do you remember Megha, our little girl that forgot how to walk over COVID. Our school for children for disabilities is open to all and with your donations we have continued to fund a private and amazing physiotherapist that does 1:1 therapy with 12 children and runs group sessions for everyone to keep them active. Our children have a mixture of disabilities from physical to mental that schools are not willing to work with and so kick them out of the local schools. These children deserve education and they come to our school where our techers do not have desks, offices or any barriers instread they are with the children all day helping them to develop and learn.
Megha locked up at home during COVD simply stopped walking and for the past 11 months our therapist and team have been working with her, your donations funded a leg brace that got megha moving and crawling and recently your donations funded a walker (photo above) and after installing this walker for Megha she is now standing and moving slowly assisted we are hopeful she will be walking before the year is out and this is thanks to all your support.
We have 4 other children than could improve with assisted walking aids and with the upcoming giving tuesday we will use any new additional funding to help them further.
We thank all our donors and if you are ever visiting Kerala please do come and see us
Thanks,
