10 Years Old Ariya is Fighting Thalassemia With Your Support!

By Sarah Ahmed | Project Leader

Dear Friends,

Time flies fast when we are healthy and busy with the daily grind. Four months passed by almost in a blink. Here we are today again, but with a refreshing story of resilience and courage. This is the story of Ariya, our brave girl who is fighting Thalassemia with your generous support.

Ariya's Journey: How Treatment Gave Her Childhood Back

When Ariya first came to Al-Mustafa Thalassemia Centre at age 5, her parents feared she might never lead a normal life. The little girl was constantly tired, pale, and missed more school days than she attended due to recurring illnesses.

The Turning Point:

After joining our program, Ariya began receiving:

  • Regular blood transfusions every 3-4 weeks
  • Proper iron chelation therapy
  • Comprehensive medical monitoring

The Transformation:

In just two years of treatment:

  • Her energy levels improved dramatically
  • School attendance became regular
  • She stopped getting frequent infections

Now at 10 years old, Ariya is:

  • One of the most active students in her class
  • Always first to participate in centre activities
  • Known for cheering up other patients with her jokes

Her father, Mr. Rahim, says: "We used to worry constantly. Now we see her running and playing like any other child - this is the miracle your support makes possible."

Ariya's dream is to become a teacher. With continued treatment, she's well on her way to achieving it. Her story shows how proper thalassemia care doesn't just sustain lives - it gives children back their futures.

Every donation creates more success stories like Ariya's. Help us write the next chapter.
