Every day, countless cats and dogs in Eswatini face homelessness, abandonment, neglect, and cruelty with little access to protection or care. For many vulnerable animals, SAWS is their only lifeline. With your support, we can continue rescuing, rehabilitating and providing essential veterinary care, food and shelter to animals in need. Together, we can reduce suffering, promote responsible pet ownership, and create a safer, more compassionate environment for cats and dogs across our communities.
Thousands of companion animals are suffering as a result of homelessness, abandonment, abuse, cruelty and neglect in Eswatini. Each day, we have to provide shelter, food, and medical care for the animals, and each day, we get more animals coming to us in desperate need of help. Many of them are rescued from deplorable conditions. With the increasing number of animal welfare cases, our two facilities are almost always at full capacity.
Our mission is to save companion animals from pain and suffering, and for many of them, we are their only hope. The project will cover the full cost of running our two facilities in Manzini and Mbabane for the next twelve months. This means that we will be able to keep our doors open and continue saving the lives of animals that desperately need our help.
The project will enable our staff and volunteers to focus their efforts on our core programs namely rescuing, sheltering, rehoming, and education - programs that will make a positive and meaningful long-term impact on the welfare of companion animals in Eswatini.
