Since the last reporting period in October 2025, Restoring Dignity: Advancing Accessibility & Relief has reached over 420 individuals, including persons with disabilities, elderly community members, and families affected by displacement and economic hardship. Through targeted accessibility improvements, the distribution of essential relief items, and dignity-centred support services, the project continues to address urgent needs while strengthening inclusion and community resilience.
One constituent, Nadia, a 74-year-old woman with limited mobility, shared how the project has transformed her daily life. Prior to receiving assistance, she struggled to access basic services and relied entirely on neighbours for support. Through the project, Nadia received mobility assistance, hygiene supplies, and home-based accessibility adaptations. “For the first time in years, I feel seen and respected,” she told our team. Her story reflects the broader impact of this initiative—restoring not only physical access, but also confidence, independence, and dignity.
During this reporting period, project activities focused on accessible relief distribution, individual needs assessments, and community-based outreach. Relief kits tailored to accessibility needs were distributed to 210 households, while 110 individuals received direct support through accessibility enhancements and referrals to local services. The project team also conducted regular monitoring visits to ensure assistance was effective, appropriate, and aligned with beneficiaries’ priorities.
This project is generating measurable change and meaningful human impact. Every contribution helps restore dignity, strengthen independence, and build more inclusive communities. We are deeply grateful to our donors for making these outcomes possible and look forward to sharing continued progress in the next reporting period.
