Women Revenue Creation: Performance and Results

By Michaelle M. | Project Assistant

This report provides an update on the performance and results of seven (7) Mutual Funds supported by APTEKKA with financial assistance from Lambi Fund of Haiti.

The Mutual Funds increased from 6 to now 7 mutual funds, bringing together a total of 334 members. Despite the financial support provided by APTEKKA and Lambi, not all members are able to access credit at the same time. This is due to the rotation system in place, as some members are waiting their turn.

Members who borrow from the 7 Mutual Funds mainly engage in trading agricultural products from their own farms, such as beans, corn, rice, vegetables, peanuts, meat, and poultry. In addition, they sell various consumer goods, including flour, bread, soap, sweets, syrups, sugar, street foods, and other products.

At the end of each monthly, members return a portion of their net profit to the APTEKKA Organization. The contributed amounts collected throughout the year are accumulated in a reserve known as the Green Fund. These funds then continue to serve as credit capital for the following cycle, as members maintain regular contributions. All borrowed funds must be repaid to the Mutual Funds with interest.

Lambi provided a total of 780,000.00 gourdes ($6,000) to the Mutual Funds to strengthen their credit capacity. With this support, loans ranging from 1,000 to 12,000 gourdes were issued. This contribution allowed each Mutual Fund to increase its existing capital. Membership per Mutual Fund ranges from 36 to 50 members.

At the end of the fiscal year of 2025:

  • The Green Fund increased by 597,030.00 gourdes
  • The Blue Fund (Organization’s Donation Fund from Lambi Fund of Haiti) remained unchanged at 780,000.00 gourdes
  • Interest earned increased by 295,965.00 gourdes

Overall, the total amount of funds managed by all Mutual Funds was 1,672,995.00 gourdes by the end of the project year.

Based on the results of the first fiscal year following Lambi’s support, the Mutual Funds managed a total of 1,672,995.00 gourdes. This strong performance demonstrates the effectiveness of the project and significantly improves members’ access to credit.

Thank you for your continued support.
