Dear Donor,
We recently received a request from Susirigama Primary School, a remote school in Welikada for a smart board for a classroom, and we have been working to raise funds for this project through GlobalGiving.
Although the original donor who intended to support this initiative sadly passed away due to sudden illness, we are deeply grateful that a local donor stepped forward to contribute toward the purchase of the smart board. Her generosity ensured that this important need was met.
For many of the students at Welikanda, this will be their very first experience with such technology. In a region where resources are scarce and opportunities limited, the smart board will open new doors—broadening their horizons, challenging their minds, and connecting them to the wider world.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your kindness and generosity. Supporting requests from Welikanda, a community still recovering from the effects of war, is vital to raising educational standards and giving these children the tools they need to thrive.
