Dear supporters,
Between March and May 2025, the "Calling on All Sport Fans" initiative, continued to demonstrate the transformative power of sport in fostering community engagement, youth development, and social inclusion. This period marked a significant phase in the project’s evolution, with the launch of new educational programs, notable athletic achievements, and the organization of regional sporting events that brought together diverse communities across Romania and beyond.
A major milestone was the launch of the second edition of EduSport for All 2.0, a project funded through the European Union’s ERASMUS+ programme under Key Action 182, which supports the mobility of staff in the field of sport. This initiative is designed to create international training missions for ten rugby coaches and sports technicians, equipping them with the pedagogical and intercultural competencies necessary to mentor youth through the values of discipline, teamwork, and fair play. The enthusiastic response—evidenced by over 25 applications from sports educators—underscores the growing recognition of sport as a vehicle for social transformation and educational enrichment.
In parallel with these institutional efforts, individual athletic excellence was also celebrated. In March 2025, Selena Robaniuc, a young athlete supported by Te Aud Romania, achieved second place in the 3,000-meter race walk at the Romanian National Championships. Her success not only highlights the potential of emerging talent within the country but also reflects the impact of sustained investment in youth development and mentorship.
The months of April and May were further distinguished by the organization of two major rugby tournaments. The first, held in Mitocul Dragomirnei, featured Mini Rugby and Rugby Tag competitions, fostering early engagement in sport among children. The second, the Regional Moldova Mini Rugby Tournament, brought together teams from Suceava, Iasi, Vaslui, Neamt, and the Republic of Moldova (Steaua Chisinau), spanning multiple age categories from Under 8 to Under 16. These events served not only as competitive platforms but also as opportunities for intercultural exchange, community building, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
The activities conducted during this reporting period reflect a holistic approach to sport as a tool for empowerment, education, and social cohesion.
The continued support of donors and partners has been instrumental in enabling these achievements. As the project moves forward, we invite all stakeholders to remain engaged in this collective journey.
Together, we can continue to harness the unifying power of sport to inspire, uplift, and transform lives.
