Stand for the children's right and freedom

By Julia Matthew | Managing Director

Dear Patron

Greetings from El Shaddai and we bring to you our report on “Rescue and empower trafficked children in Mumbai”

India has a very high volume of child trafficking. As many as one child disappears every eight minutes. In some cases, children are taken from their homes to be bought and sold in the market. In other cases, children are tricked into the hands of traffickers by being presented an opportunity for a job, when in reality, upon arrival they become enslaved. In India, there are many children trafficked for various reasons such as labour, begging, and sexual exploitation.

A lack of access to quality education and low literacy levels and rates increase child trafficking rates in India.

El Shaddai's Rena Project runs Homes, schools and outreach programs for the children of the parents who are working in red light areas. These interventions focus on shelter, safety, counseling, and life skills to help the children escape exploitative environments and integrate into society.

El Shaddai rescues children from dangerous environments and provide them with safe living conditions.

They are provided with education, food, medical attention, nutrition, psychological support, and life skills training to ensure that the child has a good wellbeing.

The ultimate aim is to prepare these children to lead successful and fulfilled lives, free from the exploitation and harm associated with red-light districts.

We express our heartfelt gratitude for your tremendous support in helping us to change lives. Without your support this mission would not be possible

With Gratitude

Sincerely

El Shaddai Family
