Dear Donor,
Project Rena, an initiative of El Shaddai Charitable Trust, was established in response to the ongoing issue of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation that continues to affect vulnerable women and children in India.
Operating in red-light areas of Mumbai, including Badlapur, the project focuses on protecting children who grow up in highly unsafe, stigmatized, and neglected environments. Many of these children lack access to education, healthcare, proper nutrition, and emotional support, placing them at serious risk of exploitation, school dropout, and long-term hardship.
Through its Children’s Home, Project Rena provides a safe and nurturing alternative for around 20 children by offering daycare (35 Children), night shelter, and 24/7 residential care. The program ensures nutritious meals, regular healthcare, education support, counseling, and recreational activities that promote healthy physical, emotional, and social development.
By removing children from harmful surroundings and surrounding them with consistent care and guidance, Project Rena helps them heal from trauma, rebuild confidence, and move toward a more secure and hopeful future.
By ensuring safety, stability and holistic development, Project Rena helps vulnerable children heal, grow with dignity, and move toward a healthier, more hopeful future!
With Gratitude!
El Shaddai Family!
