Red Dot Foundation, in collaboration with the Haryana Police, officially launched the Safer Haryana initiative to enhance community safety and address gender-based violence through data-driven solutions. The project involves conducting safety audits across eight districts, aiming to identify safety hotspots, strengthen police-community relations, and foster safer, more inclusive public spaces.
As a foundational step, we organized a 5-day training program from 1st to 5th April 2025, engaging 120+ women constables from across Haryana. The training covered key topics such as Gender Sensitivity, POSH, POCSO, Dowry Laws, Domestic Violence, Data Collection Methods, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Empathetic Listening & Consent. This capacity-building effort is crucial in equipping frontline officers with the knowledge and skills needed to support survivors, collect accurate data, and implement effective safety measures. Safer Haryana marks a significant step toward community-led, policy-driven action for safer public spaces.
