Persevering Through Darkness: With Your Help!

By Allie Renar | Operations & Finance Manager

Despite recent communication blackouts and ongoing instability, Sahar’s in-person programs have continued without interruption. Our dedicated local teams have demonstrated remarkable courage, ensuring that students continue to learn, grow, and build brighter futures — even when isolated from the outside world.

These are not just programs; they are lifelines. In classrooms across Afghanistan, girls continue to study English, digital literacy, and leadership — often walking long distances and overcoming significant personal risk to attend classes.

Perseverance defines both our staff and our students. Afghan girls in our programs embody resilience, courage, and an unyielding determination to learn. Even in the harshest conditions, they persist — showing that education is not just a privilege, but a form of resistance and empowerment.

Through dedication and adaptability, Sahar continues to be a beacon of hope for those who refuse to let adversity silence their dreams.

~Gratitude and a Call to Action~

Thanks to your support, we raised $11,273 during the Safer World Matching Campaign! Your generosity is creating real change for Afghan girls and women.

There is now only $9,732 in matching funds remaining.  Your ongoing support can ensure our programs continue to grow and reach more girls in the coming months!

Join us today to help Afghan girls continue learning and leading, even in the most challenging environments.
