Save Guatemalan Wildlife and Biodiversity!!!

As 2025 closes, ARCAS continues to strive for the orphaned, injured, sick and abused animals. Our unwavering goal of releasing back to nature and giving the species a chance to endure the human effects is strong and growing.

We want to thank you for your constant support and for coming to the aid of those in need. Our hands are on the front line of work, but they are supported and inspired by people all around the world.

As we continue to protect and serve the coastal ecosystem of the South Coast of Guatemala, our base of operations "Parque Nacional Hawaii" has undergone renovations, we now have a dedicated wildlife clinic and a dedicated domestic clinc for our very succesful One Health approach community vet clinic. We are aware that domestic and wildlife health are interlocked, and the work to aid the local population with domestic animal health will have a direct relation to the health of the mangrove ecosystem, this has also proven to be a unvaluable personal link between us all, improving relationships and strenghtening trust.

At the South Coast we have:

• Provided english lessons to 50 kids
• Given access to sustainable electricity (solar panels) to 25 families
• Had over 80 kids participating in the "Parlama Cup"
• Inspired over 100 sutdents to participate in the "Rally Parlama"
• Promoted the national program "Sembrando huella" with a large scale reforestation event in the mangroves
• Provided 350 consults to domestic animals in our community clinc
• Reforested 4 hectares of mangrove forest
• Produced over 10,000 plants in the forest nursery

We are proud of the progress made this year, but our work is far from over. The challenges facing wildlife and ecosystems in Guatemala are constant, the funds are scarce, the needs are many, but the mission stands. Our ecosystems deserve a second chance.
