During this quarter from February, 2025 to May 2025, the earthquake affected families survive in very difficult situation of winter season in hills and mountains areas in Nepal.  MRC Nepal provided blanket as a warm clothes which is demand and need based material by the affected families. MRC Nepal distributed warm clothes for saving from winter to the pregnant, lactating women, children and older ages people that are more affected.

Along with this for long term income generation activities to maintain livelihood of the families, MRC Nepal supported vegetable seeds for fresh vegetable production as a quick income generation activities. So that they are capable of producing fresh vegetables which meet their kitchen requirement and also sell to raise income and maintain better livelihood. The package and practices of vegetable farming have been introduced as a demand and need based activities by the earthquake affected families. The beneficiaries able to earn money from the sell of vegetables so that improve their livelihood sustainably in a longer period. The demand is highly increasing in this regard and vegetable farming will be the best option for increasing income and maintaining livelihood of the affected people. During this period from the first harvest of vegetable farming, some households are able to earn NRs. 30,000 to 40,000 per month expecting more than 100,000 from all harvesting in this season.

In this regards, our organization MRC Nepal reached to the remote hills and with marginal people where the support of warm clothes such as warm blankets were distributed based on demand and need.
