The tropical forest has made it through another dry season, and we are happy to share that no major wildfires were recorded across the 130 km² where we work. Now, with the arrival of the wet season, life is flourishing again. Many species are taking advantage of the renewed resources—breeding, nesting, and raising their young. Our monitoring team has spotted countless pairs and juveniles of different species thriving in the area.
One of the most exciting moments this season has been recording a couple of pumas and a brand-new jaguar cub! Our well-known jaguar, JH013, is now a proud and healthy mother. Seeing her with her cub is a powerful sign that this sanctuary offers the perfect conditions for reproduction and care—not only for jaguars but for countless other species that depend on this ecosystem.
We have strengthened our habitat conservation efforts by working closely with local communities, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities that protect jaguars, wildlife, and people alike.
Together, we can ensure that this season’s new life grows in a safe, protected home. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps us protect this land, its wildlife, and the people who share it. Your support truly makes a difference.
