Greenhill Humane Society continues to expand its capacity for life-saving care for animals in need. We operate one of the largest animal shelters in Oregon and care for over 5,000 animals each year. Our life-saving rate is among the best in the U.S. Combining state-of-the-art care and rehabilitation with stress-free living spaces to meet the social, physical and mental needs of animals. We need your help to continue our work.
This project addresses the need to provide better care for animals in crisis. As we grow and expand capacity, we have been steadily improving the level of care that we can provide for animals in need. We have recently completed the first phase of a facility expansion and now we need to continue to work on reducing stress at the shelter, implementing advanced care, and improving access for those who need our services.
Our state-of-the-art housing provides a space for animals to safely heal and relax in our care. The new buildings provide indoor kennels, extended stay rooms, indoor meet & greet rooms, an indoor behavior training space, and multiple indoor and outdoor play yards. This new space reduces noise levels and stress while improving care, flow, safety, and customer service. This significantly strengthens our ability to find homes for animals and enhance our on-site veterinary capabilities.
This project is driven by the need to provide better behavioral and medical care for animals in crisis. Our goal is to help keep pets with their families by providing better access to veterinary care and pet care counseling, and to find new, loving homes for abandoned and surrendered animals. This project is improving the lives of animals and impacting people who care about animals for generations to come.
