This project saves three severely malnourished triplet babies in Munigi, Nyiragongo, eastern Congo. We provide emergency therapeutic nutrition, essential medicines, medical follow-up, hygiene supplies, and infant clothing. Funds are used transparently for life-saving food, healthcare, and monitoring, delivered locally to ensure fast impact and survival during this critical early stage of life.
In Munigi, families face extreme poverty and limited access to healthcare. Premature babies and multiple births are especially vulnerable. Severe malnutrition weakens immunity, delays development, and can be fatal without urgent treatment. Amani's triplets are critically underweight and lack therapeutic nutrition, medical follow-up, and basic infant care-putting their lives at immediate risk.
This project delivers emergency therapeutic milk, enriched porridge, essential medicines, and regular medical monitoring for the three malnourished babies. We also provide hygiene kits and warm clothing to prevent infection. Local health workers supervise treatment, track recovery, and support the mother to ensure consistent feeding and survival during the most dangerous months.
Saving these babies does more than prevent death. Proper nutrition in early life protects brain development, strengthens immunity, and reduces future health costs. As the children grow stronger, their family regains stability and resilience. This project also strengthens local responses to child malnutrition, helping communities protect vulnerable newborns before crises become tragedies.
