Protecting the Big 5 in South Africa

Dear Supporters,

You might think this project is rather easy but protecting the Big 5 is anything but easy! As you know the Big 5 in South Africa includes the African Elephant, The White and Black Rhino's, Buffalo, The amazing Lion and the one that is always hard to find being the Leopard. 

While we have so many urgent issues to help ensure not one of these animals is in danger over the past few years we have had to put a lot of attention into our rhino's. Each time we get a report we find these poachers getting braver and more creative to get to poach a rhino and when they are successful they do. These poor animals are left for dead without their horns. 

The illegal trade for these horns is growing and the value is so high that people living in poverty will stop at nothing to get a chance to sell a horn. Our team puts themselves in harm's way on a daily basis to protect the rhino's and while we do this we need to do more prevention outreach activities to help local children become conservationists and grow up to help protect our incredible big 5. 

While we look back at the success of this project we really have saved so many rhino's but our fight isn't over and the creative ways people come up with is alarming and so we need more resources and support to continue this critical work and on this note we would love for you to share our project and cause on your social media and across your networks so we can all stand together to fight these poachers!
