Since our last report, SAYes has matched 52 new mentor-mentee pairs, bringing our total active matches to 164. We delivered 2 mentor training sessions (June and September) and held bi-monthly peer support group calls, helping mentors strengthen their skills in supporting youth in transition. In addition, we provided data support or device stipends to over 30 mentees facing digital access barriers, enabling more consistent engagement in online sessions.
Our UK Programme team was honoured to present "Voices of Impact," an event hosted by the London Stock Exchange Group Foundation in July. Four SAYes mentees took part in a panel discussion, sharing powerful personal reflections on their journies through mentorship. They spoke about building confidence, developing independence, and learning to see challenges as opportunities for growith. The discussion highlighted the transformative effect of consistent, one-to-one mentoring and the importance of connection in helping young people navigate transition into adulthood. The event provided a valuable platform to raise awareness of SAYes's mission and to engage new partners, funders, and potential mentors who share our commitment to supporting underserved youth.
Thank you so much for your support, which enables us to deepen relationships, expand reach, and give young people grounded, consistent mentorship.
