So far in 2025, thanks to many offline and online donations, we have reached 79 students with School Access Kits! We appreciate the donations that have come through GlobalGiving as well as many from guests of Santorini and Casa Babi in Vilankulo.
We recently handed over kits to vulnerable children in the Chigamane fishing village where many children have been abandoned by parents who moved away. These children are being raised by grandparents who depend on subsitence living and do not have the means to acquire backpacks, uniforms and school supplies in the cash economy.
Because of your help through the SAKs program, the children of Chigamane village are still able to attend their local primary school where they receive daily porridge (funded by Santorini Hotel and guests) and are nurtured by a team of caring and dedicated teachers.
We still need 21 more donations to reach our goal of 100 kits!
Thank you in advance for your support and for spreading the word to other how just $50 can make the difference for a child in Mozambique to attend school!
