The "Transform Lives in Kumba: Support Orphans Education" initiative which aims to create sustainable educational opportunities for orphans, IDPs, Children in Distress and Returnees in Kumba, Cameroon. This program Since initiation has been addressing pressing needs for quality education among vulnerable children who have lost their parents, often resulting in the ongoing conflict affecting the English speaking regions in Cameroon, increased poverty and limited access to resources. By partnering with local schools and community organizations, including GlobalGiving, the initiative has provided scholarships to 175 children, school supplies, and tutoring services, fostering an environment that promotes learning and personal development. The primary goal is to ensure children affected by the loss of parental care can achieve academic success and thrive in their communities.
To maximize impact, HUFAC-Cameroon organized 4 workshops for caregivers and educators, focusing on the importance of a supportive educational framework for orphans, IDPs and Returnees. This holistic approach has empowered Community leaders by equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to nurture these children’s potential. The Grand offered as project of the month in May 2025 actually enable us to increase scholarships for academic year 2025/2026 to about 25%. Your Support is actually raising hope and Transforming Lives.
