Medical Emergency Relief 2025

By Karlheinz Neumann | Founder and Project Leader

Anayele with lipoma
Anayele with lipoma

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we were able to provide urgently needed medical assistance to many people in Nigeria again this year. We would like to highlight five heartbreaking stories as examples – they show how much your help has changed lives.

Anayele (65) – Finally pain-free again

Anayele successfully underwent surgery in January to remove a large lipoma from her neck and mouth. The operation was uncomplicated. Today, Anayele is strong, mobile, and active again – a completely new chapter in her life.

Ugochukwu (5) – A child regains his joy for life

When we met Ugochukwu in August, the then five-year-old boy was experiencing severe pain when walking and urinating. Thanks to your donations, he was able to have surgery quickly for a hernia. Just one day later, he was able to go home – pain-free and full of energy. His quality of life has improved dramatically.

Faith (55) – A Major Tumor and a Long Road to Recovery

Faith desperately sought help in September. A massive tumor on her face was affecting her breathing and vision. After intensive preparation, she was able to undergo surgery within 72 hours – four doctors worked on her face for eight hours. A few weeks later, she received a prosthesis. However, the biopsy revealed the devastating news of a malignant tumor. Since November, Faith has been undergoing chemotherapy, which will continue until 2026. She bravely continues to fight and attends regular check-ups.

Elisabeth (65) – Good news after surgery

Elisabeth (65) was diagnosed with lipoma that had to be surgically removed. The procedure went completely smoothly. After six days, she was able to leave the hospital – and the biopsy thankfully confirmed that the tumor was benign.

Kingsley (44) – Healing After Six Years of Suffering

Kingsley, a single father, had been suffering from an open leg wound for six years. The doctor diagnosed severe cellulitis. After intensive wound treatment, a successful skin graft was performed. Kingsley is grateful and relieved – and continues to come for weekly checkups.

Your contribution makes a real difference!

In 2025, we were able to provide medical support to 36 patients – many of them with serious illnesses, long hospital stays, and extensive follow-up treatments.

Thanks to your donations, we were able to allocate over €10,000 for emergency medical aid. €10,400 were transferred to Nigeria.

Thank you for making this life-changing assistance possible. Together, we are giving hope – and real prospects for the future.
