Empowering Mexico's Jungle:14 NativeWomenStart Up

Thanks to the support received during this campaign, we have made solid progress in consolidating the collective enterprise of 14 Tseltal women in the Selva region of Chiapas. This initial period has been marked by significant advances:

Sessions have been held to strengthen the support provided by IXIM’s technical team, who have offered guidance on group formalization, savings mechanisms, and collective decision-making.

A grain mill was acquired, which will be used in the food and supplement venture in the community of San Pedro. This equipment will be part of the machinery for product manufacturing.

In addition, work is underway on the group’s branding, identification of marketing channels, and the quotation of other necessary equipment such as a grain roaster, specialized utensils, and industrial-grade tables.

The group’s enthusiasm, organization, and commitment are clear signs that the path toward a social and collective enterprise model is well underway.

Gracias al apoyo recibido en esta campaña, hemos dado pasos firmes en la consolidación del emprendimiento colectivo de 14 mujeres tseltales en la región Selva de Chiapas. Este primer periodo ha estado marcado por avances significativos:

Se han llevado a cabo sesiones para fortalecer el acompañamiento por parte del equipo técnico de IXIM, quienes han brindado asesoría en la formalización del grupo, mecanismos de ahorro y toma de decisiones en colectivo.
Se adquirió un molino para granos, que será utilizado en el emprendimiento de alimentos y suplementos en la comunidad de San Pedro. Este equipo será parte de la maquinaria para la fabricación de los productos.
Además, se está trabajando en el diseño de imagen del grupo, la identificación de canales de comercialización y cotización de demás maquinaria como el tostador de granos, utensilios especializados, mesas de uso industrial.

El entusiasmo, la organización y el compromiso del grupo son señales claras de que el camino hacia un modelo de empresa social y colectiva está en marcha.
