Send 100 Girls to school in Nepal

Imagine a society where every girl has the opportunity to pursue her dreams. In Nepal, this vision is gradually becoming a reality through our scholarship program implemented in partnership with GlobalGiving. Currently, the program is supporting 85 out of every 100 young women who once faced significant barriers to education.

For many of these girls, education once felt out of reach due to financial hardship, social expectations, limited opportunities, and invisible barriers within their communities. Our initiative works to remove these obstacles. Beyond covering school fees and educational materials, the program provides mentorship, personal guidance, and emotional support. These efforts help young women develop confidence, resilience, and hope, allowing them to continue their education and pursue their ambitions without fear.

Every scholarship awarded through this program contributes to breaking the cycle of poverty and gender inequality. By investing in girls’ education, we are helping them become independent individuals and future leaders who can positively influence their families, communities, and the nation as a whole. Recently, youth across Nepal including many young women from the digital-native generation, raised their voices through the Gen Z protests. These movements highlighted strong concerns about corruption, injustice, and restrictions on freedom of expression. Young people demanded a more inclusive and fair society where everyone, especially girls and young women, has equal opportunities.

Their activism demonstrated the growing power of youth voices and the belief that meaningful change is possible. Our scholarship initiative reflects this same spirit of transformation. When young women gain access to education and empowerment, they become part of the broader wave of social reform. Education gives them the ability to question outdated norms, advocate for their rights, and lead change within their communities, just as many young protesters did when they declared that their future must not be compromised.
