Send a child to an Early Learning Centre

Greetings from Bangalore Baptist Hospital Society.

When we brought our son Charish to the DDRC Sub-Centre, he was 3½ years old. He was very quiet. He did not talk much, did not play with other children, and had difficulty focusing.

We were very worried.

The team started helping him with speech therapy, learning exercises, and small games. They used toys that made learning fun. Slowly, he started talking. He started smiling. He looked at us and responded.

After one and a half years, we see a significant change. Now Charish goes to regular school. He talks to others. He plays and learns with his friends. We never thought this would be possible.

Bhodhwik is now 2 years old. When he first came to us a little over a year ago, doctors had advised physiotherapy and occupational therapy due to developmental delays related to a genetic condition. At that time, he had just begun gaining neck control.

Since then, Bhodhwik has been attending therapy sessions on a regular basis. With the steady support of our team and the constant encouragement of his parents, he has been making steady progress.

Today, Bhodhwik reached an exciting milestone:
He has started scooting forward and backwards on his own, and he is learning to move around with the help of a rollator. These are giant steps for his independence and confidence.
